Privacy Policy

Information we handle

• Account information: your name, login email address, account identifier, authentication method, hashed password data for password accounts, and authentication sessions.
• Public profile information: first and last name, company, login email, country calling code, phone number, and any profile photo you choose to upload.
• Connection history: the account that scanned a card, the profile scanned, first and most recent connection times, scan count, and an associated physical-card identifier when applicable.
• NFC tap information: the physical-card identifier, tap time, and a broad device category such as Android, iOS, or other. We do not use this record to store your full browser user-agent string.
• Support and safety information: messages, reports, blocked-profile choices, and information needed to investigate misuse when you contact us or use safety controls.
• Camera frames: while you use Scan QR, frames are decoded locally on your device. NFConnections does not upload or store the camera video or frames.

Google sign-in provides basic identity information, including name, email, and a profile image when available. Manual signup uses an email address and password without a separate email-ownership check. Do not register another person's email address.

How we use information

• Authenticate you, secure your session, and provide account support.
• Create, publish, edit, scan, and display your digital card.
• Record and show your past connections.
• Operate optional pre-encoded physical NFC cards and prevent inactive cards from resolving.
• Detect misuse, enforce our Terms, respond to reports, and protect users and the service.
• Comply with applicable law and resolve disputes.

What becomes public

When you finish and publish your profile, its name, company, verified email, phone details, and profile photo are available to anyone who has the public profile link or QR code. Do not add information that you do not want shared. A person may save, screenshot, or download contact information after viewing your card.

Service providers and sharing

We do not sell personal information and the current service does not show advertising. We disclose information only as needed to provide NFConnections, at your direction, for safety or legal reasons, or during a business reorganisation subject to appropriate safeguards.

Processors may include Google for optional Google sign-in, an optional email provider for safety notifications, and our network, security, and support providers. NFConnections application, database, and profile-image data are hosted on infrastructure operated by Arksow. Each external provider processes data under its own terms and our applicable agreements.

Retention and deletion

Active account, profile, connection, and card records are kept while your account exists. Verification codes expire after 10 minutes and authentication sessions expire after no more than 30 days unless renewed or ended sooner.

Account deletion removes your account, public profile, profile photo, connection records linked to that profile, and associated active card records from the live service. Access-restricted backup copies are scheduled to be overwritten within 30 days. We may retain a narrowly limited record longer only when required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, or an unresolved dispute.

Deletion cannot remove copies another person previously downloaded or saved. It does not delete your Google account.

Your choices and rights

• Edit your profile from Profile settings.
• Remove optional profile information before saving.
• Deny or revoke camera permission in your browser or Android settings.
• Report or block a public profile using its safety controls.
• Delete your NFConnections account from Profile settings or follow our account deletion instructions.
• Contact us to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of applicable personal information, subject to local law.

Security and international processing

We use access controls, encrypted HTTPS transport, hashed authentication secrets, and operational safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No system is completely secure. Providers may process information outside your country; where required, we use contractual or other lawful safeguards for those transfers.

Children

NFConnections is intended for adults and business networking. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has created an account.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the service or law changes. Material changes will be shown in the app or otherwise communicated as appropriate, and the effective date above will be updated.
